eu amo Lisboa

Me habría quedado en el Hotel Fontecruz a vivir pero salí a dar una vuelta ^^ El paseo que dimos por Lisboa fue maravilloso porque pude visitar lugares tradicionales de la ciudad y además entrar en tiendas que ya preparaban todo para la fiesta de la noche. Me enamoré (cómo no) de esta tienda vintage llamada El dorado, tenía unas botas de agua transparentes muy interesantes que ya veréis en una foto más abajo. Aquí os cuento con imágenes cómo fue el recorrido y qué fue lo que más me gustó.

I would have stayed to live to live at Fontecruz Hotel but I went to take a walk ^^ My tour in Lisbon was really wonderful because I could visit traditional places and also go into stores prepared for the fashion night party. I fell in love (of course) of this vintage shop called El dorado, they had a pair of transparent rubber boots which you’ll see in a photo below. Here I explain with pictures how was my tour and what it was that I liked.

La exposición de diseños de IADE fue en un lugar extraordinario donde fusionaron perfectamente lo contemporáneo inmerso en un espacio antiquísimo, igual que en el Hotel Fontecruz como os contaba en el post anterior / The IADE designs were exposed in an extraordinary place where the contemporary style was merged with an ancient space, on the same way of Fontecruz Hotel as I told you on the last post.

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out Lisbon at Fontecruz Hotel

Gracias al hotel Fontecruz Lisboa pude asistir a la Vogue Fashion’s night out en esta ciudad preciosa que nunca había visitado.

I could attend the Vogue Fashion’s night out in Lisbon thanks to Fontecruz hotel sited in this beautiful city in which I had not been before.

Al llegar y entrar en el hotel, me enamoré del diseño que mezcla elementos tradicionales portugueses como la cerámica, con detalles tan contemporáneos como las ventanas enmarcadas por mensajes de neón.

When I arrived to the hotel, I fell in love with the design that blends traditional elements like Portuguese ceramic, with contemporary details such as windows framed by neon messages .

La habitación ya acabó de cautivarme del todo con un cabezal que reproducía postales originales de Lisboa que podían verse expuestas en el hall (ya sabéis de mi afición por coleccionar postales); por si esto era poco, fue entrar en su bar Small&Delicious con ambiente industrial pero muebles vintage y querer quedarme allí para siempre.

The room captivated me at all with an original Lisbon postcard converted in a headboad, all these postcards are exposed at the hall (you know my hobby of collecting postcards), and if that was not enough, when I entered in its Small & Delicious bar with industrial environment but vintage furniture… I wanted to stay there forever.

Incredible seat at Fontecruz Lisbon terrace

Lisboa me encantó (no hace falta que lo repita, creo que lo dije ya bastante en Twitter) y el Hotel Fontecruz ha sido un descubrimiento para mí. Todos sus hoteles cuidan el diseño, el arte, se fusionan a la perfección con el entorno; algo que pudimos ver en Lisboa, en plena Avenida Liberdade que invita a conocer la ciudad y pasear sin parar por sus calles.

I fell in love with Lisbon (no need to repeat it, I think I said it enough times on Twitter) and Fontecruz Hotel was a discovery for me. All their hotels take care of the design, art, blend seamlessly with the environment, something that we could see in their Lisbon hotel sited on the Avenida Liberdade, it invites you to explore the city and take a walk through the streets.

Cómo no, el hotel Fontecruz fue el centro de la fiesta en la Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, allí se congregaron modelos, actores, diseñadores, gente con el estilazo propio de las ciudades con más historia de Europa, ojalá pudiera resumir con palabras cómo fue esta ‘noche de la moda’ junto a personas más que extraordinarias, mejor os lo cuento con imágenes.

Of course, Fontecruz was the center of the party at the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, there gathered models, actors, designers, people with an amazing style own the most historic cities in Europe, I could explain in words how was this ‘night of fashion’ with that extraordinary people but I tell you with images.

Tijuana antropológica

Como mi Rosaura / Like my Rosaura

Cruzar la frontera entre EE.UU y México es extraño, eso por empezar de alguna manera. Decidimos cruzar a pie la frontera para pasar una noche en Tijuana, es una frontera más bien tranquila pero no deja de ser un cúmulo de sensaciones el caminar a través de pasillos, controles y puentes peatonales rodeada de personas, escuchando el sonido propio del tumulto silencioso (sí, lo tiene), el metal de las barras giratorias… hasta llegar a suelo mexicano. Podría frivolizar sobre lo que vi, sentí y viví, decir eso de ‘era como estar dentro de una película’ o fue ‘antropológico’ (eufemismo por excelencia) o podría ponerme dramática, creo que quizá ya lo estoy siendo, merde.

Crossing the border between U.S.A and Mexico is weird, because I have to start this post someway. We decided to walk across the border in order to spend a night in Tijuana, that border is rather quiet but it is still a wealth of sensations walking through hallways, controls and pedestrian bridges surrounded by the sound of silent people (yes, it has a sound), the sound of rotating metal bars… until arrive to Mexican soil. I could be frivolous about what I saw, felt and lived, something like ‘it was like being in a movie’ or was ‘anthropological’ (euphemism for excellence) or I could be dramatic, and I think taht maybe I’m being it, merde.

Tengo una relación estrecha con México por familia y amigos, además sois muchos los que me visitáis desde allí (¡gracias!), hasta ahora había visitado Monterrey y Riviera Maya, sumando Tijuana puedo decir que ya he conocido el contraste entre diferentes ciudades mexicanas.

Tijuana se asocia a la vida disoluta, yo prefiero quedarme con sus pasajes artísticos llenos de galerías, librerías, exposiciones y ¡recitales de poesía! Les conté que yo hacía lo mismo en España ^^ me quedo con aquel señor que me vio poner mil caras raras tras comerme un taco y dijo riéndose que me había enchilado.

I have a close relationship with Mexico by family and friends, and many of you visit my blog from there (thanks!), I’ve visited Monterrey and Riviera Maya, with this visit to Tijuana I can say that I have known the contrast between different Mexican cities.

Tijuana is associated to dissolute life but I love the artistic passages full of galleries, libraries, exhibitions and poetry readings! I told them that I did the same readings in Spain ^ ^ I loved that moment when a gentleman saw me to put a thousand funny faces after eating a taco and he laughed saying ‘te enchilaste’.
