Banana Taipei

Llega un momento en que vestir sweaters infantiles de los años 90 no se convierte en algo absurdo porque, realmente, da exactamente igual a quién le guste mientras tú te sientas bien, es fundamental llegar a ese punto, por frívolo que parezca. Como muestra, un botón, y un bolso muy peculiar de Banana Taipei que me parece interesante por su filosofía de protección del medio ambiente en sus materiales y por el sentido del humor (además de crítica) de su estampado en la nueva colección, ¿qué es? Adivinanza.

There is a time in your life when wearing vintage sweaters from the 90′s not becomes absurd because, really, who cares? the most important thing is if you feel good, it’s essential to get to that point, as frivolous as it may seem. Here an example and a bag from Banana Taipei, it’s very peculiar and I find it interesting for its philosophy of environmental protection in their materials and the sense of humor (plus social criticism) using this print. What is it? Riddle.

Aquí os dejo el monólogo de Víctor Sánchez Rodríguez que interpreté para el acto de denuncia contra la violencia sobre la mujer que tuvo lugar esta semana, acto en el que Teresa Juan y su equipo de Máster de Gestión Cultural llevaron a cabo actividades para concienciar a través del arte, un honor que contaran conmigo.

Recordad, mujeres del mundo, maltrato hay de muchos tipos. Por obvio que parezca, a veces se olvida.

Here you have the monologue by Víctor Sánchez Rodríguez I played for the act of accusation against violence on women that took place last week, Teresa Juan and her team of Master in Cultural Management conducted activities to raise awareness through art, it was an honor for me.

Remember, women of the world, there are many types of mistreatment. As obvious as it may seem, sometimes it is forgotten.

Última ‘entrega’ de esta sesión de fotos que llevo unos días compartiendo con vosotros. Una vez más os diré que fue un lujo poder colaborar con grandes como Laura Ivorra (fotografía), Natalia Meri (estilista) y Ana Lahoz (maquillaje y peluquería). Así merece la pena involucrarse; justo cuanto la esperanza empezaba a perderse, aparecen personas magníficas con grandes ideas y saber hacer, me siento afortunada.

Y ya que hablamos de equipos, quiero animaros a asistir mañana en Valencia al acto organizado por la Asociación Eleanor Roosevelt en las ruinas de Colón a las 18h. Podréis escuchar, entre otras cosas, una grabación con mi voz denunciando la violencia contra la mujer interpretando un monólogo de Víctor Sánchez. Ha sido un lujo poder colaborar con él y con Teresa Juan, dos personas cultas, sensibles y con ideas extraordinarias. Nos vemos mañana, mi voz será la nuestra, la de todas.

Last ‘delivery’ of this photoshoot I’ve been sharing with you the last days. I want to say again that it was amazing to work with the gorgeous Laura Ivorra (photographer), Natalia Meri (stylist) and Ana Lahoz (makeup and hair). It was awesome because I was beginning to lose hope but great people with great ideas appeared in my life and now I’m feeling lucky.

And speaking of teams, I encourage you to attend the ceremony tomorrow in Valencia organized by the Eleanor Roosevelt Association at ruins in Colon street at 18pm. You can hear, among other things, a recording with my voice denouncing violence against women performing a monologue by Victor Sánchez. It was a treat to work with him and Teresa Juan, cultivated people, with sensitive and extraordinary ideas. See you tomorrow, my voice will be ours, I speak on behalf of all women.
