Cancer. The word itself seems malevolent, infected. The disease touches so many, directly and indirectly, in its multitude of forms. In Australia, one woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer alone, which is why research into an early detection test is such an important first step in combatting the disease.

The shirt I’m wearing in this picture is one from the “Unite In White” white shirt campaign, sold at Witcherywith 100% of gross proceeds donated directly to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).

So, why the white shirt? Because it’s every woman. Every age, every colour, every creed – anyone can wear a white shirt. It’s a reminder that we are all equal. We live, we love, we are none of us immune to the reaches of diseases like cancer that do not discriminate.

Supporting the campaign is as simple as picking up a white shirt of your own. Fashion, with a worthy cause. You can shop the women’s shirts here and the men’s shirts here.
