Vogue US has collaborated with Hollywood again in the promotion of a new release in which the costume design is essential. As they did with Marie Antoinette, Vogue has dedicated its cover to the new version of The Great Gatsby by Baz Luhrmann. They’ve chosen Carey Mulligan for the May issue cover (she plays Daisy on the movie), and Mario Testino has photographed the editorial.
For the editorial they’ve used dresses by Chanel Haute Couture, Miu Miu, Oscar de la Renta, Nina Ricci, Alexander McQueen and Dior Haute Couture. On the movie we’ll enjoy Catherine Martin’s work with the costumes. She’s the wife of Baz and won an Oscar for Moulin Rouge.
